Vision Quest

A vision quest is an ideal way to step back from everyday routines to see how you want to move forward with your life. It’s an opportunity to access your deep wisdom within and to be inspired, healed and empowered by Mother Earth.

It is a challenge but is strengthening. Spending time alone in Nature reminds us that we are related to animals, plants, earth, sky and stars. Remembering this and the wonder we felt as children connects us to our deep knowing of the best choices to make about our life. 

Vision questing also deepens your sense of self. It helps you bring more beauty, power and healing to your family and community and reduce feelings of loneliness. Most people return from their quests feeling spiritually refreshed, with a heightened sense of meaning and purpose about their life. 

There are two kinds of vision quest offered here. Both involve camping with a small group, the first for a week, the second for three days. Both include preparation before going out on quest. This is time to care for the physical requirements such as equipment and how to create an appropriate shelter. It is also for spiritual preparation.

The time out on quest is entered ceremonially. It is generally recommended that participants fast during this time.

After the questing time you return to base camp and begin integrating the experience. It is a good moment to ground your insights in practical intentions before re-entering the social world.


Choosing to Vision Quest

Vision questing is an act of power and beauty. To give ourselves time in this ceremonial way speaks to our unconscious and can effect change that is lasting. 

It is important to take time to look deeply before making a commitment to this process.
